1. Be social. Get to know other poker players. The game is lonely and isolating and downswings (literally) drive you crazy. You need a group of people you can talk to that speaks the same language you do.
2. Get an accountant. You are making lots of money every year, you can afford one who will tell you what to do. Ask other poker players for recommendations. It is a huge pain in the ass to keep good records but it’s nothing compared to the pain in the ass of what could happen if you don’t.
3. Shower. If you are a pro poker player and are reading this, you probably smell.
Just in case I would take a shower together with my accountant, I could kill three birds with one stone.
