So we didn’t get renewed. The reasons are varied. Ratings (good but not GREAT), expectations (the highest), and so on. The way I see it: affiliate agreements blocked a built-in international audience from viewing, marketing $ were wasted on expensive billboard and ad buys on sites like playboy.com, Nielsen ratings are an archaic and inaccurate system in desperate need of a technological overhaul (see: 2M2MM was Comcast’s most pirated show EVER.) If the system is broken, what do you do?
I think you change the system. Other people think so too.
MAJOR SUCKAGE!!!! I loved the show. I watched every episode & looked forward to next season. It allowed me to show my wife that I’m not a unique freak playing poker; there are other guys doing the same thing I’m doing, just for more money
The one thing I remember as the funniest thing about your show is when you guys are playing on FT – the dinging drove me nuts. I play on my laptop, I realized I’m like a Pavlovian dog. Every time I heard the ding, I’d be looking around my screen for an open window

Any chance you can shop the show to other affiliates? I bought every episode on iTunes and watch then often. As a marketer that works with Nielson ratings, I agree that it is an old system that is only a small sample of the total market. Really hope the show get renewed again.

Have you thought about a company like Revision3.com? They have some pretty popular web-based shows like Diggnation, and were founded by some former Tech TV guys that got shafted by G4.
Have you tried selling to show to somewhere like Revison3? (http://revision3.com/) this would probably allow advertising from online poker sites, DRM free online releases and greater creative control for you.
Revision3 is def on the radar.
In an ideal world we’ll find a sponsor first, much easier pitch if the content is already paid for…

I realize, as a 63-year-old grandfather, I might not be your target demographic. But 2M2MM was last year’s best reality show. If only because you four were the “realest”. While I’ve heard all of Emil’s laugh I can take and I’m done with Ansky in a pink tutu, I was so looking forward to season 2.
By the way, having a great product has never been a guarantee of success. 2M2MM2 might make an excellent third edition of Busto to Robusto.
